According to CBS Sports, the Detroit Tigers and the Texas Rangers have agreed to a trade that would send Prince Fielder to Texas for Ian Kinsler, and the two teams are only waiting on approval from the MLB office.
While the Tigers have floated Max Scherzer's name around in trade discussions, a trade involving Fielder was considered unlikely because of his limited no-trade clause. That all changed two days ago when rumors began to surface that the Tigers were willing to listen to offers for the 29-year old first baseman. Apparently, the clause didn't prevent Fielder from joining the Rangers.
According to Jon Heyman, there may be another player involved in the deal, and physicals would be required before the trade would be completed. However, the trade has been agreed to in principle.
