With Winter Meetings in full swing, the Detroit Tigers are actively pursuing moves to improve their squad via trades and free agency. We've compiled today's rumblings for you in a quick, easily digestible format:
Joba Chamberlain
Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports confirmed the Tigers are a possible suitor for Chamberlain, and after his down year in 2013, he could be available on the cheap. Detroit will have competition (Houston, Kansas City and Arizona are all interested), but they're currently strong contenders for the former Yankee.

Matt Kemp
Update 1:40 EST: Kemp's agent has been informed by the Dodgers that he won't be traded. It's not like that means he definitely won't be...but it definitely makes it less likely.
The Dodgers outfielder has six years and $128M remaining on the eight-year contract he signed back in 2011, but there's definite interest in Detroit. The major stumbling block at the moment appears to be Austin Jackson, who the Tigers would have to move to make room for Kemp and his massive contract. If Detroit can move Jackson (the Yankees have reportedly registered some interest), look for them to make a play for Kemp if he's still available.
Shin-Soo Choo
Having Rajai Davis on board significantly decreases Detroit's chances of landing Shin-Soo Choo. While the Tigers could still land Choo, it's now a long shot, and Tigers fans shouldn't get their hopes up when it comes to the South Korean CF.
Max Scherzer
Scherzer is being shopped around - there's no two ways about it, at this point. Detroit hasn't made any progress on a contract extension, and they've made teams aware that Scherzer is available for the right price. It doesn't sound like a move is imminent, but if the right offer materializes, Scherzer could be on his way out of Detroit in the near future.
