Batting Jorge Posada 9th in the lineup and sticking him at DH just wasn't enough of a slap in the dick for Brian Cashman and Joe Girardi. Today they both got a running start and Double Dragon'd Posada's balls by putting Jorge at 1B and batting his 7th. The closing chapter in Jorge's career mirrors the end of ConAir: It's drags on, several completely implausible things happen (and remember this is implausible in the context of a movie where convicts steal an airplane an John Cusack is a bad ass) and John Malcovich meets his demise (fingers crossed, he knows why).
Jorge's downward spiral begs the question: Where do Cashman and Girardi go from here? Do they make him pitch next? Will he be selling programs or the giant foam fingers at the gate? Let's explore where Cashman might send Jorge next.
