SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Detroit Red Wings veterans miss their long-time teammate, but in the month that has passed since the trade, several young players have benefited.
The Wings sent Gustav Nyquist to the San Jose Sharks at the Feb. 25 trade deadline, in return for a second-round pick in the 2019 draft and a conditional third-round pick in 2020. Entering Monday, Nyquist had three goals and three assists in 12 games since switching from red to teal.
