Would You Trade Carter Rowney For A Mid-Round Pick?

from Bob Duff of Detroit Hockey Now,

Rowney might not be the first player who comes to mind when discussing Red Wings likely to be moving on prior to the March 21 NHL trade deadline. Still, he possesses qualities that could make Carter Rowney desirable to a contender. He has, after all, won a Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016-17. The price to acquire him would be a mid-to-late round draft pick and at a cap hit of $825,000, he’s entirely afforadble.

“He can play kind of a grind style and get to the net,” Blashill said of Rowney.
