The Red Wings are falling apart, losing 7-3 to the Canadiens, and say only hard work will help. Recorded Oct. 15, 2018 in Montreal. Helene St. James, Detroit Free Press
MONTREAL — How do the Detroit Red Wings salvage this mess? How do they prove they’re better than what they’ve shown the past two games?
Six games into their season, the Wings have yet to win. Where the first week saw them at least look competitive, the second week has seen them run out of buildings, humiliated. As bad as it was over the weekend to explain an 8-2 shellacking at Boston, two days later the Wings had to parse a 7-3 loss at Montreal.
