Wings sit Andersson vs. Flyers with Pulkkinen returning

Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill opted to scratch Joakim Andersson from the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Flyers with forward Teemu Pulkkinen returning from injury.

Pulkkinen missed the past six weeks after suffering a shoulder injury in a game against Arizona on Dec. 3. Blashill slotted him on the fourth line with Tomas Jurco and center Luke Glendening.

Andersson, like defenseman Alexey Marchenko – the odd man out on defense – hasn’t really done anything wrong to end up a healthy scratch.

He played over 10 minutes once in his last 11 games and was minus-1 in that stretch.
