Detroit — The roster the Red Wings will use Thursday when they open the season against Columbus is pretty much set.
Pretty much. Not quite entirely, though.
Injuries to four veteran Red Wings defensemen — Trevor Daley, Jonathan Ericsson, Mike Green, Niklas Kronwall — will impact which, and how many, young defensemen from Grand Rapids will stay.
Other than that, the Wings made various moves Sunday that gets them down to the final 23 men on the roster.
As expected, forward Michael Rasmussen and defenseman Dennis Cholowski are staying with the Red Wings.
