DETROIT – The Red Wings will be without two significant pieces to the roster for the next six weeks.
The club announced Friday that Drew Miller will have surgery Saturday to repair a fractured jaw, and that Teemu Pulkkinen could miss up to eight weeks as he begins to recover from a dislocated shoulder.
Both forwards were injured during the first period of Thursday’s 5-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes at Joe Louis Arena.
“Those are two guys that are big part of us and who we are and certainly I don’t like to see guys go down,” Wings coach Jeff Blashill said.
