Wings’ Larkin No. 10 on ESPN’s top NHL prospects list

Dylan Larkin not only is proving to be the Red Wings’ top prospect, but he’s quickly become one of the best in the NHL as well.

ESPN.com’s Corey Pronman ranked Larkin 10th in his list of top 100 NHL prospects on Thursday (pay site), vaulting the Waterford native and former Michigan star a whopping 89 spots from last season. That’s for good reason, apparently.

“Larkin had a simply fantastic season,” Pronman wrote. “He was a dominant two-way player as a freshman at Michigan, one of the top players at the World Juniors, earned an invite to USA’s World Championship team and played top-six minutes in the AHL — all in his first season after being drafted.
