The Leafs have won five in a row and will be trying to win six consecutive games for the first time since November 2017. The Wings, dealing with injuries to key players such as forward Anthony Mantha and Darren Helm and defencemen Danny DeKeyser and Trevor Daley, have two wins in their past seven games.
“Our approach has to be the same, especially when we’re a bit shorthanded,” Wings coach Jeff Blashill said. “When you are shorthanded, you better make up with it with work ethic. We’re going to have to rise to the occasion.
