“I’m just going to try to come in and do what I know I can do, do what I can to help this team and help contribute right away,” Fabbri said following the morning skate.
“I play fast, I play with some skill and a high compete level day in and day out. Just try and bring what I’ve learned over the years over here.”
The Red Wings acquired Fabbri, a 5-10, 190-pound center/winger from the Blues Wednesday for center Jacob de la Rose. Fabbri, the 21st overall pick in the 2014 draft whose career has been set back by two major knee injuries, had just one point (a goal) in nine games with the Blues, averaging 9:42 in ice time.
