CHICAGO - When asked why he wouldn't reveal who will start in goal next, Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill noted the time of year.
"Getting ready for playoffs," Blashill said Saturday after practice. The Wings play Sunday against the Blackhawks, four days after having lost at home to the defending Stanley Cup champions with Petr Mrazek in net.
Five weeks remain in the regular season, and the Wings are especially focused on attention to defense after giving up too many chances against in the last two games.
If you want to have success come playoff time, then you better tighten it up defensively," Niklas Kronwall said.
