Los Angeles —
Brendan Smith was walking around the Staples Center locker room Thursday but not getting ready to play.
Smith re-aggravated a right knee injury Wednesday in Anaheim and wasn’t playing Thursday against Los Angeles. The defenseman will also miss Saturday’s game in San Jose.
As will Niklas Kronwall, who also was injured against the Ducks and will not be available the rest of this West Coast trip.
Ryan Sproul and Alexey Marchenko replaced Smith and Kronwall.
The team will wait until the swelling goes down around Smith’s knee before doing any further tests.
