Joakim Andersson
will play tonight for the Red Wings
for the first time since Nov. 14. Head coach Jeff Blashill said Anderson's lack of playing time is more a reflection of depth.
"I've had Andy a decent amount over the years," Blashill said, referring to his time as the head coach of the Wings' American Hockey League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. "The one thing I'd start with is Andy's played very well this year when he's played, he just hasn't gotten much opportunity.
Blashill said sometimes when a guy doesn't play regularly there's a perception that that "he hasn't played well.
