As part of ongoing efforts to share the exciting progress of the District Detroit and the new Detroit Events Center, Olympia Entertainment hosted an Adcraft of Detroit Club luncheon at Joe Louis Arena's International Bancard Olympia Club on November 19.
Olympia Entertainment President and CEO Tom Wilson spoke to more than 100 Adcraft members, who represent all segments of the city’s advertising and marketing communications industry, about the genesis of the project, the “deconstructed” nature of the design of the Events Center, and the latest fan enhancements.
Wilson shared conceptual renderings of cutting-edge gondola seating; the “skin” on the outside of the arena bowl that would display video and graphics; on-site practice ice, which will also be used for amateur hockey; an outdoor plaza featuring a massive video wall, and spaces bordering the arena site that will be regularly programmed with music and entertainment.
