Forward Michael Rasmussen is too valuable to the Detroit Red Wings to send him away for a month.
Monday marked the start of national teams releasing the lists of players invited to camps for the 2019 World Junior Championship. Rasmussen, 19, is eligible to play for Canada, but he’s unlikely to switch his NHL red and white sweater for a national edition.
