Jeff Blashill pulled Gustav Nyquist aside to have a little chat.
The Detroit Red Wings are sellers as the NHL nears Monday’s trade deadline, and Nyquist is in play because he’s a productive winger in the last year of a contract. Nyquist holds veto power over a potential move because he has a no-trade clause, but he isn’t ruling out joining another team.
“Right now there are plenty of scenarios that could play out,” Nyquist said Tuesday.
