Filip Zadina made a smart play to get the puck in the offensive zone. He got open in front of the net, in position to receive the pass. He buried a one-timer. He celebrated like he never has before in his short time in the NHL.
The 20-year-old forward has made some big plays lately. This was his biggest.
Zadina snapped a tie with 3:52 remaining in regulation Tuesday, and the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 at Little Caesars Arena.
“I think it was one of my best moments so far,” Zadina said.
