from Bob Duff of Detroit Hockey Now,
Details of the contract terms agreed to between Swedish scoring sensation Pontus Andreasson and the Detroit Red Wings are beginning to emerge. Even though his deal with the Wings won’t be officially announced until Andreasson’s club Lulea is eliminated from the SHL playoffs, Swedish media site Expressen.se is reporting some of the details of the pact.
Accoring to their report, Andreasson has accepted a one-year, two-way deal with the Red Wings. These types of contracts, in which a player is paid one sum at the NHL level and a lower amount in the minor leagues, are commonplace among European free agents.
