If you were counting on seeing captain Henrik Zetterberg in uniform for the Detroit Red Wings this season, you might not want to hold your breath waiting . . . or hold out hope for that matter.
While no one in the organization is publicly willing to go on the record and pronounce Zetterberg’s absence due to chronic back problems as a done deal, reading between the lines, it certainly would seem unwise to bank on Hank this season.
As last season wound down, Zetterberg didn’t practice at all for the final two months of the season.
