Also selected on Monday were Mark Recchi, who amassed 577 goals and 1,533 points, as well as Danielle Goyotte, a top women's player who won two Olympic gold medals with Canada.
Boston Bruins owners Jeremy Jacobs and long-time Canadian college coach Clare Drake were selected in the builders category.
Former Detroit Red Wings goaltenders Chris Osgood (401 wins, three Stanley Cups) and Curtis Joseph (454 wins, no Cups) were not selected.
