TAMPA, Fla. — As games run out for the Detroit Red Wings, special teams are coming under increased scrutiny.

The Wings head into Nashville on Saturday frustrated and bitter after losing yet again to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning converted on two of four power plays; the Wings squandered an opportunity to put the Bolts on their heels when a Detroit power play a minute into Thursday’s game at Amalie Arena failed to generate momentum.
