Report: Red Wings re-sign Andreas Athanasiou to two-year contract extension

The Red Wings are in the process of re-signing forward Andreas Athanasiou to a two-year contract extension according to Craig Custance of The Athletic:

The Red Wings avoid arbitration with Athanasiou, giving him a considerable raise with a bridge contract. We’ll wait to see what the money looks like, but this knocks down one RFA contract that Ken Holland needed to take care of. The two remaining are forwards Anthony Mantha, and Dylan Larkin.
