DETROIT - The Edmonton Oilers controlled the play most of the night Saturday, outshooting Detroit by a wide margin and snapping the Red Wings' three-game winning streak with a 4-3 victory at Little Caesars Arena.
Kyle Brodziak scored two goals and Connor McDavid picked up a pair of assists for the Oilers (8-4-1), who outshot the Red Wings 42-26.
Despite the Oilers' territorial edge, the Red Wings had an opportunity to tie it late, after Tyler Bertuzzi scored his fifth goal of the season to cut the deficit to one with 1:26 remaining.
Jacob de la Rose and Danny DeKeyser also scored for the Red Wings (4-8-2).
