PHILADELPHIA -- A good start and a strong performance from Petr Mrazek couldn't undo a nearly two-decade old drought.
The Detroit Red Wings gained a point but grew their long losing streak in Philadelphia after falling in overtime, 4-3, Wednesday at Wells Fargo Center. The game saw Henrik Zetterberg score for the first time this season, Mrazek face 40 shots, and a controversial goal.
Zetterberg’s goal made it 3-2 at 8:18 of the third period. Mark Streit used a pileup in Detroit’s crease to score with 1:04 left in regulation, but the Wings challenged the call on the ice as Brayden Schenn had ended up on top of Mrazek.
