Detroit signed Patrik Rybar, a free agent goalie who most recently represented Slovakia at the 2016 Olympics and the 2018 World Championships.
This is likely a depth signing for Detroit, and it’s likely Detroit will sign or otherwise obtain another goaltender to fill the NHL backup role, assuming they do not trade Jimmy Howard.
