Detroit — The Red Wings stayed busy Monday — after an eventful weekend at the NHL Entry Draft — agreeing to new contracts with restricted free-agent forwards Tyler Bertuzzi and Martin Frk.
Financial terms weren’t immediately known, but Bertuzzi signed a two-year contract and Frk signed for one year.
Bertuzzi, 23, earned his first extended opportunty in the NHL last season and took advange of it, scoring seven goals with 17 assists (24 points) in 48 games, with a minus-7 plus-minus rating.
Bertuzzi was called up from Grand Rapids for good in late December, after scoring 14 points (seven goals) in 16 games with the Griffins.
