The Red Wings say they need to learn lesson from OT loss to Flyers. Filmed Feb. 16, 2019 in Philadelphia. Helene St. James, Detroit Free Press
PHILADELPHIA — The Detroit Red Wings pocketed what they deserved on Saturday: one point.
Their latest outing showed the talent they have, showed one rebuilding block in particular how he needs to score, and showed resolve. But that came after the Wings played so ineffectively it took a furious salvage effort to right themselves. The third period Saturday at Wells Fargo Center was one of the Wings’ best of the season, but the 6-5 loss in overtime to the Philadelphia Flyers was a just ending.
