After trading up to the 36th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, the Detroit Red Wings selected defenseman Shai Buium.
At 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds, Buium is another large body to add to Detroit’s blue line. He’s the second left shot defenseman taken by Detroit in the draft, which means the questions on the left side of the blue line seem to finally be answered.
