Detroit – Recent top draft picks highlight the Red Wings’ roster for the upcoming NHL prospects tournament in Traverse City.
The tournament will run September 16-20 at Centre ICE Arena, just before the Red Wings’ training camp which begins three days later.
Forwards Tyler Bertuzzi (2013, 2nd-round) and Evgeny Svechnikov (2015, 1st round), and goalie Jake Paterson (2012, 3rd-round) and picks from this June’s Entry Draft – forward Givani Smith (2016, 2nd-round) and defenseman Filip Hronek – highlight the roster.
Forward Dylan Sadowy, acquired this summer in a trade with San Jose after scoring 45 goals in junior last season, is also on the roster, as are undrafted free agent defensemen Joe Hicketts and Robbie Russo.
