DETROIT - Dennis Cholowski and a few of his teammates left New York a little lighter in the wallet Saturday night following the Detroit Red Wings annual rookie dinner.
But it was all good, following a 3-2 overtime victory over the New Jersey Devils. It was the latest comeback for a team that has gone 8-2 in its past 10 and is rapidly gaining confidence and finding ways to win following a poor start.
"It was pretty expensive but hey, it was a fun night, we all had a good time," Cholowski said. "Everybody was happy, and we weren't thinking about a loss, we were thinking about a comeback win.
