DETROIT, MICH — In response to losing Luke Glendening to injury last night against the Hurricanes, the Red Wings have recalled Ben Street from the Grand Rapids Griffins under emergency conditions.
Last time the Wings recalled Street, he wasn’t around for very long. This move can likely be looked at as some backup depth insurance for the team. Glendening is day-to-day as of right now. The Red Wings will likely put Tomas Nosek back in the lineup and put Drew Miller or Ben Street as a healthy scratch.
