Red Wings prospects off to good start in tournament

Mike Borkowski scored two goals and the Detroit Red Wings prospects defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-4 at Centre I.C.E. Friday, the first day of the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City.

Kyle Criscuolo had a goal and two assists for the Red Wings, who got power-play goals from Evgeny Svechnikov, Dylan Sadowy and Tyler Bertuzzi.

The Red Wings face the Chicago Blackhawks prospects Saturday at 4 p.m.

Borkowski tied it at 3-3 with his second goal of the game at 16:21 of the first period. Svechnikov gave his team the lead for good at 4:13 of the second period.
