DETROIT - When you hear the name of Detroit Red Wings Swedish defense prospect Gustav Lindstrom, it's natural to think of seven-time Norris Trophy winner Nicklas Lidstrom.
Lindstrom hopes to make a name for himself one day with the Red Wings.
The organization has high hopes for its 2017 second-round pick, a 6-2, 187-pound good-skating, puck-moving, right-handed shooter who plays with an edge.
After two seasons with Almtuna, in Sweden's second-highest league, Lindstrom is joining Frolunda, a premier program in the Swedish Elite League which featured Rasmus Dahlin, the top pick in this year's draft.
