Detroit Red Wings prospect Dominic Turgeon is out indefinitely while dealing with a blood clot.
Turgeon was diagnosed Wednesday with thoracic outlet syndrome — a group of disorders that occur when blood vessels or nerves in the space between the collarbone and the first rib are compressed — which caused a blood clot affecting his right arm. He underwent a procedure Wednesday evening at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, Texas. His team, the Grand Rapids Griffins, were in San Antonio to play the Rampage.
Turgeon was scheduled to undergo another procedure Thursday.
