The Red Wings have announced that forward Drew Miller has been placed on injured reserve after sustaining a lower-body injury in last night's tilt against Anaheim.

With Miller being moved to IR, this alleviates the Red Wings of his $1.35 million cap hit, and creates space for defenseman Kyle Quincey to make his return tonight against the Los Angeles Kings.
