The youth movement, ways to improve and the overall state of the team will be scrutinized by Detroit Red Wings hockey operations personnel this week.
General manager Ken Holland, vice president Jimmy Devellano, head coach Jeff Blashill and the pro scouting staff are meeting Monday through Thursday to evaluate the Wings and the rest of the NHL. Meetings with the team’s amateur scouts took place in May.
“The object of the meeting is to bring the staff together and talk about what we are going do with team over the next month and beyond,” Holland said.
