Henrik Zetterberg acknowledged this has been the toughest stretch in his fourth season as captain of the Detroit Red Wings. Zetterberg was awarded the C on January 15, 2013 and he didn’t realize Sunday was the anniversary until he was told by reporters.
Asked whether it has been harder than expected, Zetterberg said no.
“I don’t think my role as a player has changed that much,” Zetterberg said. “Maybe everything around it is a little bit more than it was before. Spent more time with you guys.
