Even with a limited budget, the Detroit Red Wings are busy exploring what can be done to improve the team via free agency.
General manager Ken Holland told the Free Press Monday afternoon that he, assistant general manager Ryan Martin and head coach Jeff Blashill “have been on the phone with lots of agents and players.”
While offers cannot be made until Saturday, teams can talk to players to gauge interest.
