DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings unveiled a new wrinkle in how they're dividing up training camp teams this year.
They will still practice and scrimmage with three groups. But this year, all the regular players will be on one squad -- Team Delvecchio. The Red Wings will have 74 players on the ice Friday at the start of training camp in Traverse City.
Andreas Athanasiou's status continues to be in question as the 23-year-old forward weighs offers from the Red Wings and KHL clubs.
