TAMPA, Fla. - Goaltender Jimmy Howard left the Detroit Red Wings' game 5:39 into the second period after teammate Nick Jensen and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Erik Condra of Trenton crashed into him at Amalie Arena.
Howard appeared to be favoring his right leg when he was helped off the ice by teammates Drew Miller and Steve Ott. He went down in obvious pain after being crashed into in the goal crease.
