Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill has been tapped to coach the United States team at a second straight IIHF World Championship.
Blashill guided the 2017 team, which included Wings players Dylan Larkin, Danny DeKeyser and Jimmy Howard, to a 6-0-0-2 record. The 2018 tournament runs May 4-20 in Denmark, with groups split between Copenhagen and Herning, the hometown of Wings forward Frans Nielsen.

Larkin said Saturday his agent was working on figuring out insurance with USA Hockey, which Larkin needs this year because he does not have a contract with the Wings.
