Chris Osgood realized what he said, and laughed.
During a Thursday evening reception at Motor City Casino, a day in advance of being inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, Osgood stood in a corner.
“I’m looking forward to it, but I’m not one for all the attention,” said the man who used to be the center of attention by virtue of playing goal for the Red Wings, a stint that led to three Stanley Cups.
“I like being in the shadows, but it’s exciting, especially with the people who are going to be here.
