DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings will have seven of the top 100 selections at next weekend's entry draft in Chicago. Unless, of course, they trade some.
The Red Wings' top pick, No. 9, was determined at the April 30 draft lottery. On Thursday, the NHL released the entire order of the draft.
A series of trades the past couple of seasons have netted the Red Wings with 11 picks, they most they have had since 2000, when they also had 11 in a nine-round draft (now the draft is seven rounds).
The first round is June 23.
