DETROIT - The energy from the crowd at Little Caesars Arena was apparent to the Detroit Red Wings and coach Jeff Blashill early on Tuesday, when they built a nice lead on the Arizona Coyotes.
The enthusiasm was evident when players gathered at center ice to raise their sticks and salute the fans following their 6-1 victory.
A season that looked like a disaster in the making after 10 games has taken a sharp turn for the better. The Red Wings have won four in a row and seven of their past eight to reach the break-even point (8-8-2).
