New Year’s Eve turned into a fun, festive event as the Detroit Red Wings and fans fed off one another.
The Wings capped 2017 with a 4-1 victory at Little Caesars Arena, all the more satisfying as it came against the Pittsburgh Penguins. That the rivalry simmers even as the teams haven’t met in the playoffs since 2009 was clear with the compete level, starting with Jimmy Howard.
