Niklas Kronwall practiced with the Detroit Red Wings today, but Jonathan Ericsson did not. Both defensemen are considered day-to-day, and it’s possible that neither will play on the team’s three-game road trip that begins Thursday in Pittsburgh (7 p.m., FSD, NBCSN).
“I thought Nik looked good, so yeah, it’s encouraging to see that he’s making strides and getting closer to being ready,” Wings coach Jeff Blashill said. “We’ll continue to evaluate it day to day.”
Asked about the possibility of Kronwall playing this week, Blashill said: “I don’t want to speak to that. I know, right now, he’s not playing tomorrow.
