Red Wings edge Penguins, stay undefeated in preseason

Michael Rasmussen and Andreas Athanasiou each scored his second goal of the preseason Sunday and Harri Sateri made 29 saves as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 at PP&G Paints Arena.

The Red Wings, playing four games in five days, improved to 4-0.

Trevor Daley scored what proved to be the winning goal at 9:54 of the second period, capping a run that saw his team scored three times in a span of 5:47. Joe Veleno assisted.

Rasmussen, who had four shots on goal and five hits, tied it at 1-1 at 4:07 of the second.
