Jeff Blashill said he was happy to see Landon Ferraro get an opportunity with another NHL team, even at the expense of the Detroit Red Wings.
Ferraro, 24, was picked off of waivers by the Boston Bruins on Sunday, a day after being waived. He had no points and a minus-3 defensive rating in 10 appearances with the Wings this season.
"It is never easy to lose a quality person and good player," Blashill said this afternoon. "We knew that was a risk when we put him on waivers. It's also part of the roster limits and the CBA, part of the business.
